“I feel honored and humbled,” said Kapur. “It’s also somewhat satisfying to look back and reflect upon my contributions to research to improve the health of children over the last 29 years.”
The award is IUPUI’s highest recognition of outstanding continuing research by a colleague and recognizes the achievements of Dr. Glenn W. Irwin, Jr., who was a professor, dean of the School of Medicine, chancellor of the Indianapolis campus and vice president of Indiana University.
Kapur joins a prestigious group of 28 previous Glenn W. Irwin, Jr., M.D., Research Scholar recipients who have implemented a sustained record of research, accomplished successful grant writing, and made a lasting impact on their field of study.
