The IU School of Medicine Dean’s Office of Strategic Communications manages internal and external communications, including public and media relations, marketing and branding.   • Media Relations
    The IU School of Medicine Office of Strategic Communications manages media relations for the School and shares announcements, arranges interviews and facilitates other work with news media and the School’s medical education and research experts.   • Website
    The Dean’s Office of Strategic Communications at IU School of Medicine recently consolidated legacy websites representing the school to improve content discovery and user experience for audiences seeking information about the school’s work and offerings. To further advance the digital user experience, the team is now working on a website upgrade initiative that includes a new content management system, design updates, new internal user tools, and updates to on-page content and information architecture. This work has begun and is expected to be complete in 1Q20.

    As part of the Office of Strategic Communications, the Visual Media team provides graphic design, medical illustration, photography, and poster production services.

  • Internal Communications
    The Office of Strategic Communications oversees schoolwide internal communications, including InScope, the School’s internal weekly newsletter, and MedTV, an internal digital signage system. To improve communications and make schoolwide information easily accessible on a centralized digital platform, the Office of Strategic Communications initiated and oversaw the production of IU School of Medicine’s first limited-scope intranet, MedNet.
  • Brand Compliance
    The Office of Strategic Communications provides resources that enable consistency in digital, print and promotional materials that support the IU School of Medicine brand. These guidelines and resources are detailed in the IU School of Medicine Identity and Style Guide.
