The IU School of Medicine Division of Continuing Education in Healthcare Professions does charge accreditation fees. In addition, we have a list of logistical services we can provide. Submitted applications will be assessed a non-refundable $100 review fee. Please consult your Compliance and Educational Activity Coordinator for a more detailed list of services and a cost estimate detailed to your program.
Application Submission Deadlines and Late Fees
All activity applications must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the date of the activity. As outlined in the table below, there will be an expedited fee applied to applications submitted less than 60 days from the date of the event. Applications submitted less than 30 days from the date of the event may not be accepted and will require special review process. Review will be at the discretion of the CE office dependent on ability to accommodate. Additional charges may apply (at cost) based on the service demands of the activity.

If course directors/organizers revoke or withdraw interest in accreditation of an approved activity more than 30 days away from the scheduled activity date, for which the planning process has begun by the CME team, a cancellation fee will be charged. The cancellation fee amount will be based on 10% of the base accreditation fee quoted on the original cost estimate plus any incurred fees for services rendered to the date of cancellation.
Cancellation of an approved activity less than 30 days from the scheduled activity date, for which the planning process has begun by the CE team, will result to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the base accreditation fee plus incurred fees for services rendered to the date of cancellation.
Cancellations should be made via email to your assigned contact.
- All registration payment cancellations must be received (30) days prior to the activity date for a full refund.
- If registration payment cancellation is made at least (2) weeks prior to the activity date, a partial refund of 50% is allowable.
- No registration payment refund is available for cancellations made after that point unless cause of cancellation is due to unforeseen extenuating circumstances. The date your request is received by our office will be considered the cancellation date. Requests received after the refund deadline will not be processed.
