Application Process

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology uses the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for fellowship candidate selections, and all positions are offered through the National Residency Matching Program. Selected candidates are invited to interview virtually in October for positions beginning on July 1 of the following year.

The division typically supports five fellowship positions each year. All applicants must be enrolled or have completed an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program. The Gastroenterology Fellowship program sponsors J1 Visas; however, it may extend to H1-B Visas on a case-by-case basis if the applicant is already initiated by other sponsors.

Apply for the Gastroenterology Fellowship

Five gastroenterology fellowship positions are available each year at IU School of Medicine. Interested applicants should apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
