Pulmonary Critical Care & Critical Care Fellowships

 

 

The Indiana University School of Medicine Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship features two tracks: pulmonary and critical care medicine. Each track focuses on the advancement of clinical skills, scientific knowledge, and ethical standards of trainees to prepare them for a career as clinicians, educators or scientists. This program strives to prepare physicians for careers in academic medicine through exposure and participating in high-quality research, both in basic sciences and clinical outcomes research.

Message from the Program Director

Welcome to the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship program at Indiana University. We appreciate your interest in our program and hope that this website will give you a comprehensive look at our fellowship. Our program features two tracks⁠—Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. You will find information about both programs on this site. Our program has several goals. First, we strive to cultivate a supportive culture and collegial environment that emphasizes the importance of interprofessional collaboration and teamwork. We have a specific focus on inclusivity and the recruitment of individuals with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.  The IU pulmonary and critical care training program is perfectly suited for those with a variety of career goals. We pay close attention to the advancement of clinical skills, scientific knowledge, and ethical standards of trainees to prepare them for a career as a clinician, educator, or physician scientist. We strive to prepare physicians for careers in academic medicine through exposure and participation in high-quality research, both in the basic sciences and clinical outcomes research. We also have the charge of providing well-trained clinical pulmonologists and intensivists for the state of Indiana.
