Neonatal Neurology

The neonatal neurology program in the Department of Neurology at Indiana University School of Medicine offers comprehensive neurological care for neonates with neurologic conditions or complications. Infants with brain injuries due to prematurity, complicated pregnancies or births, neonatal seizures and underlying genetic conditions are treated with expertise and care. Services offering include prenatal counseling, consultative care in the NICU and multidisciplinary outpatient care. Our specialists collaborate with neonatology, developmental pediatrics and speech, occupational and physical therapists to ensure the best possible outcome for infants. The neonatal neurology team is also active in research projects exploring ways to optimize outcomes for patients. Inpatient services are offered at Riley Hospital for Children in downtown Indianapolis and outpatient services at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel, Indiana.
