The Lower Extremity Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine is a one-year program, recognized by the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. This fellowship encompasses nearly all aspects of lower extremity adult reconstruction, including primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty (total joint replacement). It also includes unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, minimally invasive surgical techniques, a variety of anterior and posterior-based hip surgical approaches, and computer-assisted surgical techniques. Emphasis is placed on complex revision hip and knee reconstruction, including the surgical treatment of peri-prosthetic infection.
