I grew up in Zionsville, Indiana and attended Indiana University for undergrad. During my time in Bloomington, I majored in Neuroscience and earned a certificate in Business Management. Outside of class, I got involved in the Little 500 bicycle race on campus. This is how I fell in love with cycling and being outdoors, and I would later go on to pick up running in medical school.
After undergrad, I stayed at IU for medical school and spent my first two years at the Bloomington campus. This is where I met my now fiancé, Elaine Colomb. We both enjoy spending time outdoors, watching movies, and hanging out with our two cats, Henry and Peanut. During our time in medical school, we both developed a passion for the field of radiology (though I would like it to be known that I decided on the specialty first). We decided to participate in the couples match and will both be completing our diagnostic radiology training at Yale next year.
I look forward to getting to know my co-residents and learning from all the wonderful providers at Ball Memorial Hospital this year.

Born and raised in Brownsburg, Indiana, I attended Cedarville University where I received a degree in Chemistry and played on the tennis team.
After completing the Transitional Year Residency at Ball Memorial, I hope to pursue a career in Neuroradiology or Radiation Oncology. During the interview season, Ball Memorial leadership stood out. It was clear they devoted a lot of time and effort to make sure their residents were prepared for their advanced programs and felt supported.
My spare time is largely spent by playing sports, reading, and doing whatever my friends want to do.

I grew up in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, which is a small town just across the border from Louisville, Kentucky. I attended Purdue for my undergraduate degree in biology, and I quickly realized that I loved learning about the human body. After college, I spent a year working at a daycare in Louisville before starting medical school at IU. I lived in Bloomington for the first two years of medical school, which is where I met my fiancé, Billy. We decided to couples match, and we are excited to move to New Haven, Connecticut next year for the diagnostic radiology program at Yale. Before that happens, I’m confident that Ball Memorial Hospital will provide a great year of training that will prepare me well for my career in radiology.
In my free time, I like to bake, hike, crochet, and spend time with family and friends. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, but I also love my time at home with Billy and our two adorable cats.

I grew up in Carmel, Indiana, where I spent most of my life until I went off to college at the University of Oklahoma. Boomer Sooner! Following my graduation from OU, I was so excited to return home to attend Indiana University for medical school, spending my first two years at the Evansville campus. I am thrilled to be here in Muncie to complete my intern year before heading back down to Indy to finish out my residency training in Anesthesiology at Indiana University.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and my two cats, Cooper and Archie. I also enjoy reading, sewing, and keeping up with Colts and Oklahoma football!

I was born and raised in Troy, Michigan, and completed my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Michigan. After graduating, I taught high school science and math on the west side of Indianapolis at George Washington High School. It was a rewarding and impactful experience, but I knew that being a high school teacher was not the career for me. I went on to attend medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine where I found a passion for radiology. I am very excited to stay in Indiana for my transitional year at Ball Memorial Hospital before moving on to Milwaukee to complete my radiology training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and lifting weights. I am also a big fan of Formula 1 and am hoping to go see a race live this year.

I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana, spending most of my time playing sports, learning new instruments, or taking advantage of our local lakes. Following high school, I attended Northwestern University, majoring in biology with concentrations in cell biology and physiology. After college I chose to spend a year living and working in Chicago as a medical scribe before ultimately returning to my home state to study medicine. For a long time I was undecided on what specialty I wanted to pursue, but it only took one hour of a radiology lecture during my last year of medical school for me to realize that that is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. After completing my intern year at Ball Memorial Hospital, I will follow this newfound passion by completing a diagnostic radiology residency at the Cleveland Clinic.
In my spare time, I can be found watching games, highlights, or looking up statistics for every Chicago sports team (minus the White Sox). I love hiking and being outdoors in general, and I will find any excuse I can to take my work outside. I am a big reader, and an even bigger fan of history and watching historical documentaries. Most importantly, I am very excited for the opportunity to learn about and become a part of the Muncie community for the next year.

I was born in a small town in Iowa, but I was raised in the Cincinnati area since I was a kid. I went to high school and undergrad in Cincinnati and loved every minute of it. At the University of Cincinnati, I studied chemical engineering while also completing some internships at Toyota Motor Manufacturing along the way. It was through these internships that I realized engineering was not my passion and I decided to pivot course and try my hand at medicine. While volunteering at Cincinnati Children’s I fell in love with patient care and knew I wanted to take the next step towards my medical training. I studied medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine where I split time between multiple campuses including Terre Haute and Indianapolis. At IU, I gained a passion for radiology and procedures. After my training at Ball Memorial Hospital, I will complete my diagnostic radiology residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and intend on specializing my training with an interventional radiology fellowship.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends without whom I would not be in the position I am in today. I continue to be a major sports fan and love to watch baseball, football, basketball, and soccer games. I am also an avid Formula 1 fan. I have recently started to enjoy lifting so I am hoping to continue strong throughout my intern year. My professional interests include interventional oncology as well as educating medical students on diagnostic imaging.

I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana. I received my BS in Genetics from Purdue University in 2019 with a minor in Film and Video Studies. In my last two years of university, I got my first exposure to working in medicine as a medical scribe. I was inspired by my mother and grandmother, both of whom were nurses, to carry on the family tradition of working in medicine.
Soon after, I matriculated into IU School of Medicine. My preclinical training took place right here in Muncie, where I was pleasantly surprised to discover a rich community that is truly Indiana’s hidden gem. I returned to Lafayette for my last two years of clinical training. There I discovered my passion for Anesthesiology. When I discovered this specialty mandated time at a Transitional Year program, my thoughts immediately turned to Ball Memorial and the wonderful community where my studies in medicine began. I am incredibly excited to return to Muncie as the first stop on my journey to achieving my dream of becoming an Anesthesiologist!
I live here in Muncie with my partner and our mini Australian Shepherd. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, playing with my puppy, listening to music, watching movies, and tabletop gaming. I love to immerse myself in all entertainment in which I partake, from going to see Marvel movies on opening night at the theater, to waking up early on the weekend to play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends and family all day.

I was born and raised in Granger, IN and received my bachelor’s degree from Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. At Walsh, I majored in biology with plans to pursue a career in medicine. After college, I attended the Indiana University School of Medicine for medical school. I spent the first two years of medical school at the South Bend campus and completed most of my clinical rotations at the South Bend campus. I did a couple of rotations in Indianapolis, one of which was a radiology rotation that ultimately confirmed my interest in radiology.
During the residency interview trail, the educational opportunities and welcoming culture at the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Transitional Year program were intriguing. Therefore, I was thrilled when I found out I had matched here for my transitional year. I look forward to my clinical experiences here as well as the future friendships with co-residents and staff. Following this year in Muncie, I will be moving to Detroit for diagnostic radiology residency at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University.
My interests outside of medicine include distance running, instrumental Irish music, the bodhrán, watching college football, hiking, board games, and spending time with family and friends.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, I am proud to call this state my home. Here is where my journey in medicine began. I completed my undergraduate studies at Indiana University, pursuing a BS in Biology. Following my time at Indiana University, I had the privilege to continue my education at the IU School of Medicine. My adventure took me to Fort Wayne for the initial two years of medical school, which turned out to be a nurturing and rewarding experience with a group of exceptional classmates.
Subsequently, I returned to my roots in Indianapolis for my final years of medical school. Currently, I am looking forward to completing my transitional year in Muncie before relocating back to Indianapolis. Here, I will follow my passion for Anesthesiology at Indiana University. IU has so many great things to offer, but the best perk of spending a total of 12 years at the same institution is never having to change my email address.
In my free time I love spending quality time with family and friends, cooking (even after it cost me the tip of one finger), playing tennis, and tending to my garden. Watching my tiny tomato plant grow for two months was the highlight of my summer.

Transitional Year (Muncie), PGY 1
Indiana University School of Medicine
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, I stayed close to home for my undergraduate studies, choosing to attend Purdue University to study Biological Engineering. Throughout the first two summers of college, I worked at the Mayflower moving company, transporting pianos and boxes full of glass. It was a blast. My last college summer, I worked at a pharmaceutical manufacturer on the quality control team, testing hydromorphone and methylphenidate. It was after these experiences that I decided I wanted a job that had air conditioning and didn't involve gas chromatography, leading me to medicine. I was fortunate enough to be placed at my top choice of IUSM campuses, Ft. Wayne, followed by two years of clinicals in Indianapolis.
When it came time to apply for residencies, I searched far and wide to find a TY program that would provide a solid grounding in medicine, ensuring I could grasp the complex pathology I would face in the OR as an anesthesiologist. IU’s TY program in Muncie was the clear choice. After this year, I will complete my training at NYU in Manhattan. Having lived in Indiana my entire life, I’m thrilled about the prospect of life in NYC, although I’m sure I'll miss the $2 Tuesday hamburgers at Brothers in Muncie.
Beyond medicine, my interests include spending quality time with my family, splurging too often on dinners with friends, attempting bouldering, creating culinary delights, swimming, gaming (Apex Legends, anyone?), and of course, golf. If you’re a future applicant reading this and wondering “would I have fun and learn a lot at this TY program?” the answer is unequivocally yes.
